I remember it. Jimi Hendrix jam with Buddy Miles, Red Beans and Rice with Ray Draper
I worked there doing house sound for a week while Big Mam appeared with George Harmonica Smith. I never got paid but it was a great experience. I met Marshall and Marsha Brevitz at separate times.
I had a chance encounter with The Who when they were doing the Tommy Tour 1969. My friend Sandy & I was invited by Mike, who owned Head West record store and knew them. He was going over to their Hotel to pick up a promised record and we went with. We were invited along with the whole group, and their manager to go to Thee Experience for drinks and food. Jimi Hendrix’s manager came over and sat at our long table. Don’t rember who was playing and we had to leave early.
That is not the building at 7511 Sunset where Genesis IX and Thee Experience were located. The building you show is three or four blocks west of Thee Experience.
I was auto-corrected to 7511. The address is 7551. The building shown in your pic is west of the actual building.
