Former location –

In 1962 the club opened as Club Bel Air. It was a warehouse‑like building. Intended as a teen club, surf music was a big draw early on.

In 1963. It was taken over by Reb Foster who was a popular radio DJ and Bill Utley and renamed Revelaire Club AKA “Reb Foster’s Revelaire Club”. It soon became a hub for stomps (dance nights) and teenage live music.

In the Mid‑1960’s The surf instrumental scene began to fade and folk‑rock and psychedelic sounds begin to be introduced. The Crossfires house band, which later became The Turtles was active at this time.

In 1965‑1966, they raised the admission age from about 15 to 18, which seems to have discouraged some earlier attendees, additionally, aesthetic changes such as psychedelic painting and the name changed to the Third Eye.

In late 1966,  The club closed. Attendance was reportedly down, financial break‑even point wasn’t being met. After closure the building changed hands and purposes.

Today the location is an office building .
