The East Coast edition of Bill Graham’s concert venues which opened on March 8, 1968, was host to hundreds of classic rock bands including: Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys, Frank Zappa, Derek and the Dominos, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, King Crimson, Love, The Jeff Beck Group and The Allman Brothers whose live album “At Fillmore East” is an all time classic.
Its final concert took place on June 27, 1971, with: The Allman Brothers Band, The J. Geils Band, Albert King, Edgar Winter’s White Trash, Mountain, The Beach Boys, and Country Joe McDonald.
