Long Island Arena, also known as Commack Arena, was a 4,000-seat indoor arena in Commack, New York from 1959 until 1996.

Many rock acts appeared on its stage including: Styx, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac and The Who.

Frampton Comes AliveProbably the most famous performance here was when Peter Frampton appeared in August 1975 and played “Show Me The Way” which was included on his huge hit Frampton Comes Alive. Most of the rest of that album was recorded at Winterland in San Francisco, the Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael and at the SUNY Plattsburgh campus in Plattsburgh, New York.
