Cincinnati Gardens was an indoor arena that opened in 1949. When it opened, its seating capacity of more than 11,000 made it the seventh largest indoor arena in the United States. The venue was closed in June of 2016 when it was purchased by the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority.
Over the years many classic Rock N Roll acts graced the stage including:
• Buddy Holly and the Crickets on September 11, 1957 and again on January 23, 1958 and performing their final show here on April 14, 1958
• Creedence Clearwater Revival played here on July 12, 1971 and April 12, 1972
• The Beatles performed here on on August 27, 1964
• The Rolling Stones played here on November 27, 1965
• Diana Ross & the Supremes performed here on March 10, 1968
• Elvis Presley performed at the Gardens on November 11, 1971 and on June 27, 1973
• Neil Young and Crazy Horse played here on November 30, 1991
