Former location –
Comiskey Park was a baseball park in Chicago, Illinois that served as the home of the Chicago White Sox of the American League from 1910 through 1990. The stadium is also famous for hosting one of the most famous boxing matches in history. In a 1937 heavyweight title match, Joe Louis defeated the current world champion James J. Braddock in eight rounds. Joe Louis then had an 11 year run as the heavyweight champion of the world.
Comiskey Park was demolished in 1991 and the location became a parking lot for what is now known as Guaranteed Rate Field.

One musical event that occurred at Comiskey Park that’s worth mentioning is “Disco Demolition Night,” in 1979. It was a promotion for a White Sox game that “ended in a riot.”

I saw one Sox game there (they lost to the Mariners, Randy Johnson pitching a complete game IIRC), and the stadium was a tired, old pile of bricks. On the other hand, it was convincingly retro ;^)
