Selland Arena In Fresno CA Hosted Elvis, Deep Purple, Grateful Dead, Country Joe

Selland Arena is a multi-purpose arena built in 1966 that is part of the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center.

The Grateful Dead opened their 1974 tour here on July 19. Other artists to perform here: Deep Purple, Cream, Cher, Elvis Presley, Blue Cheer, Country Joe and The Fish, Elton John, Metallica, Aerosmith and Tina Turner.

On May 14–15, 1992, Van Halen recorded and later released as a live album – “Live: Right Here, Right Now” while on their ” For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge Tour”.
