The Midwest Rock Festival was held at the State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin, on July 25–27, 1969.
The festival featured:
Friday July 25 – Buffy Sainte-Marie, Led Zeppelin, The First Edition, Pacific Gas & Electric, SRC, Shag and Sweetwater.
Saturday July 26 – Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie and Friends, Taste, SRC, MC-5, Shag and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.
Sunday July 27 – Jeff Beck, Shag, Jethro Tull, MC5, Johnny Winter, Bob Seger System, Jim Schwall Blues, Joe Cocker and the Grease Band and Zephyr.
The show used a flatbed trailer as a stage set on the field in front of the racetrack grandstand. Many local bands warmed up the audience on all three nights.
Bootlegs of the Festival were released for Led Zeppelin and Blind Faith’s performances. If you look hard enough, you maybe able to snag a copy of them.

My first rock festival. I attended all three days. Was so blown away by Led Zep on Friday night that I hitched 65 miles back home on Sat. morn, bought the Led Zepplin album, turned my brother on and hitched back down to West Allis without missing an act.
