PoppycockThe Poppycock, a fish and chips/beer joint that was also Palo Alto’s first regular rock venue, was open from 1967 to 1971. They’d mix up paint in psychedelic colors used to advertise bands on the front window. It was located near the train station, on University Avenue and High Street.
