Former Location –
In the Calliope warehouse loft on November 6, 1965, Bill Graham organized his first concert, a legal defense fundraiser for the Director of the beleaguered street theater troupe he managed.
The fundraiser was for R.G. Davis, the Director of the San Francisco Mime Troupe who was found guilty of performing in a public park without a permit. Performers at the event included Jefferson Airplane, The Family Dog and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
