Located at the former quarters of Engine Co. 26 and Truck Co. 10, this building held concerts in the mid 1960’s. Performers included: Big Brother and the Holding Company, Sopwith Camel, The Charlatans and Cosmic Yo-Yo.
The owner of the building let the newly formed Sopwith Camel use the upper floor for rehearsals. After a month of rehearsals while living in the Firehouse, the Sopwith Camel made their debut performance backing The Charlatans for the Lincoln’s Birthday party depicted on the above poster ad.
