1982-86 sushi & sake Sundays…sleeping in the front window gripping a Sam Smith Ale… where are David Dean and Rene?
Huge everything burrito after sitting in on Camper… sometime in the mid-80s, I can’t remember.
Chabalas burritos! A two person meal after feeling the munchies and drinking dark dark Guinness. A place to forget about everything!
GT Jesus & the Crawling Asylum (every Easter Sunday)
Sushi Sunday, Black and White films on the tv, Sake Bombs, badass bands, nasty ass bathrooms, the best days and nights. Take me back!!!!!
That`s so funny and true.. bathrooms were crusty. I saw Chris Issak practicing during day… no one hardly there at time…for evening show that night. Drank beer and left …was by myself.. like often…. great memories so much freedom, self expression and fun:) We had a sense of humor!
Saw Janes Addiction mid-80’s on sushi nites just before they hit the big time! And yes I headed over to Chabalas burritos after! Good times indeed.
Yeah, saw Janes Addiction after drinking 6 pints of Guinness! Then Perry and I would scarf and barf a chabbala burrrito till 2am. Aw good times!
Loved the Night break, I lived in the area mud-80s. Will always remember sushi Sundays with Chris Isaak.

Friends & I would go all the time decked out in our 80’s finery. Watching live music & then dancing to DJ till closing– Prince, Madonna, all the best 80’s tunes! Just pointed out the old location to my teenage kids today. I wonder what their Nightbreak will be?
Nightbreak was the best neighborhood bar you could ask for; on the pulse of all the new music. First heard played The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, Shrieikback you name it. Whether alone, for Sunday shows or Jeopardy. All of you: owners bartenders doorman made me feel safe & at home. Miss it. -Adrienne
